Nobody Can Ever Understand Another's Pain

Stop saying "I understand your pain". You can only imagine it. Even similar experiences are uniquely felt and no two experiences are the same.

We often throw around phrases like "I understand how you feel" but the truth is, we can't fully grasp the depth of someone's pain. Everyone's experience is unique, and comparisons can minimize their emotions.

Sometimes, in an attempt to show empathy, we end up sharing our own stories, dominating the conversation, and taking the spotlight off the one who's hurting. Provide a safe space by validating their feelings without comparing, just be present and listen.

Your experience is valid but not at that moment. We must know when to share our experiences.
