OCEANS APART: A MIND AT WAR
<p>My head's pondering</p><p>My lips' mumbling</p><p>My mind's troubled and</p><p>My heart's pounding </p><p><br/></p><p>This sense of emptiness needs to be filled</p><p>I'm full to the brim but I'm not satisfied </p><p>This sense of thirst needs to be quenched </p><p>Maybe I just need peace of mind </p><p>But how can I find peace when there's a piece of me missing than I need to find</p><p><br/></p><p>I keep digging and digging for this gold called Peace of Mind </p><p>I keep searching and searching but there's no where I could find it </p><p>I've tried my best I guess I don't deserve it</p><p>Sifting through days and nights, hoping it will shine.</p><p>I keep searching and searching, but nowhere does it appear,</p><p>Each step forward drowned by doubt and fear.</p><p><br/></p><p>I’ve tried my best, maybe that’s not enough,</p><p>Or maybe peace isn’t earned by being tough.</p><p>So I sit with the ache, learning to endure it,</p><p>Hoping one day I’ll realize; Peace was never lost; I was just growing into it.</p><p><br/></p><p>My head's pondering</p><p>My lips' mumbling</p><p>My mind's stumbling </p><p>And my heart keeps drumming.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
