Rise up oh Ye Eastern and Dominate
<p>Nigeria is a multi- ethnic and multi religious nation with over 250 ethnic group.</p><p>In Nigeria's fourth republic 1999 till date the south east geopolitical zone, predominantly inhabited by the Igbo people has not produced a president </p><p>In other for the Eastern people to raise up a president this criteria has to be put in place :</p><p>The unity of purpose: The south east consist of five states Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu, Anambra and Imo <a class="tc-blue external-link external-link" href="https://state.For" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">state.For </a> the region to have a strong voice at the national level, there must be unity.</p><p>Political disagreement,party rivalries and personal ambition among leaders can weaken the regions bargaining power.</p><p>Active participation in major political parties: For the Eastern to produce a president, the region must maintain strong participation in political platforms </p><p>Promoting peace and security in the region: A peaceful environment boost economic activities and strengthens the image of the region as stable and responsible.</p><p>The ideal candidate must demonstrate </p><p>Competence and experience </p><p>Integrity and transparency </p><p>National vision </p><p>Ability to unite diverse groups </p><p>In conclusion, having said what the Eastern regions are mandated to do in other to produce an Igbo president all these will not be made possible if the country do not operate in a free and fair election </p><p>One, void of corruption and bribery.</p>
