EPISODE 17

“Rumours and Reactions”*

Aisha stepped into class the next morning and felt the sting in the air. No one said a word to her. Even Mariam, her seatmate, kept her head buried in her workbook like Aisha was invisible.

She had become the gossip headline overnight.

One girl in SS2 loudly whispered, “That’s the girl that kissed Deniem behind the lab.”

Aisha's heart pounded. That wasn’t even true — or maybe it was — but now the story had grown wings.

Deniem entered minutes later, and his presence only made things worse. Boys clapped mockingly, some even howled, “Omo Deniem dey win oh!”

He ignored them.

But the worst came when a note was passed to Aisha. She opened it slowly.

*“School is not for romance. You’re disgusting.”*

She blinked hard to fight the tears. Her hand shook. She wanted to scream. Or disappear. Or both.

By closing time, Deniem met her behind the staffroom block.

“You okay?” he asked.

She shook her head. “They hate me.”

“They don’t know you.”

“I’m tired, Deniem.”

“Then let’s remind them who you are.”

He looked her dead in the eye. “You’re Aisha. You’re brave. You didn’t hide your heart. That’s not weakness. That’s power.”

And for the first time that day, she smiled.

Not because the world changed.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
