When you hear the word 'scar' what comes to your mind?

Scars are not limited to physical marks from injuries . Some scars are psychological, emotional and many more.

Many people today move around with scars of different forms , some physical, others emotional, psychological to mention a few. We often see the physical scar and tend to ignore other aspects, I mean we don't even believe it exists.

We only focus on what we can see , shunning every other thing we can't.

Scars are constant reminders of the battles we fought in time past and if not properly healed , will hurt when touched .

People who have had surgeries ( minor or major) will have a scar (a constant reminder of their victory, a testament of their resilience and unbreakable spirit) . If such scar is not properly healed , it will leave some discomfort when it is touched .

Same thing applies to emotional and mental/ psychological scars . A child with a history of emotional abuse or bully , if not rehabilitated will carry an emotional scar that isn't healed and will remain a weight pulling him down emotionally .

Most characters people exhibit is a result of the scars they've obtained especially from their early years , its clear proof that their healing is incomplete. For some people love and trust is a myth because of their ordeals and for others survival means being wicked or locking everyone out of their lives.

Scars have a funny way of shaping people , a person with an abdominal surgical scar might not be able to bend in a certain way until properly healed , same goes for people who have been betrayed, abused, molested or bullied they might never be able to love or trust the same way .

In my perspective I'd say emotional scars hurts deeper than physical scars . Because it's most times ignored, suppressed and overlooked but it has the most effect , you can't see it but it's present and it keeps feeding off of your memories and mental wellness. Emotional scars can never heal until it's traced back to the origin , acknowledged, processed ( this entails letting go of the memory) and with special counselling.

Humans in our imperfect nature subconsciously or sometimes consciously scar people around us with hurtful words , comments, hate speech and the likes of it. Sometimes it's out of rage and other times it's to put the other person down ,at what expense ? Life is already hard and we're dealing with so much soo..... the barest minimum we can offer is kindness , soft words won't bite 😀.

To everyone who's been scarred emotionally , you are seen , felt and loved . You owe yourself healing and it's a journey you have to embark to free yourself , let the memories burn and replace it all with beautiful memories.

To everyone with a physical scar from surgeries, accidents and incidents , don't forget how great a survivor you are , think of it as a proof of your battles and the victory that followed . You are seen and loved beyond the scar.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
