SILENCE DESTROYS, COMMUNICATION HEALS 🦣 (Anthropomorphic Fiction)

In the warm night of the Gorilla Kingdom, the sweet scent of roasted plantain wafted through the air. Lanterns hung from tall fig trees, glowing softly as gorillas moved along the stone paths with gentle laughter. The night felt alive but calm.

Goliana walked slowly through the crowd. She had smooth silver fur that caught the lantern light, gentle brown eyes, and a soft, calm face. Her steps were quiet and her shoulders slumped. Every corner of the kingdom reminded her of one gorilla.

Golion.

She paused near a small hut where a young gorilla played a vine harp. His fingers brushed the stretched vines gently, and the melody drifted into the air.

Tuun taaan tuun taaan

Tiiin tinnn taaaan

The sound rose and fell like a slow river, each note spreading softly through the night. Goliana felt it settle inside her chest.

She murmured under her breath,

“Regret distorts the past. It makes you think you should have known what you could not have known.”

Her breath shook slightly. She had once loved Golion with a heart full of trust and hope, but fear, distance, and their different goals had torn them apart.

They had grown up together in the Gorilla School of the Great Trees. Golion had been tall and strong even then, with dark thick fur and sharp focused eyes. Goliana had been gentle, slimmer, and calm. Everyone knew them as the inseparable pair. They studied side by side, trained together, laughed together, and dreamed boldly.

Golion trained to become a Scout of the High Ridges. Goliana trained to become a Healer of the Green Leaves. Their dreams were strong but different.

Training pulled them apart. Golion traveled far into the cliffs for long scout lessons. Goliana stayed deep in the kingdom for healing work. They tried to stay close, but time slipped away. Their messages took days to reach each other. Fear grew between them.

Golion feared he was not enough. Goliana feared he would one day never return.

After one hard mission, Golion left without explaining his heart. He believed stepping away would help her grow. Goliana waited until she understood he was gone. Something inside her went quiet.

She tried to move on, but her heart did not let go.

Then she heard the voice she knew too well.

“Goliana.”

She froze and turned slowly.

Golion stood a few steps away. He looked even stronger than before. His tall frame cast a long shadow, his dark fur shone under the lantern light, and his deep eyes held steady emotion. He walked toward her and stopped close enough for her to feel his warmth.

“I searched for you throughout the kingdom,” he said softly. “I needed to see you again. I needed to say what I should have said long ago.”

Goliana steadied her breath. “Why now, Golion?”

His voice dropped into a sincere tone. “Because I never stopped loving you. I left because I was afraid. I thought I was not enough. I thought you deserved better than me. That fear broke everything. Every day without you hurt me.”

Goliana’s voice trembled. “Regret tricks us. It makes us blame ourselves for things we did not understand then. We were learning. We were trying. We loved each other, but we did not know how to hold it.”

Golion reached for her hand with slow care. “Let me love you again, Goliana. This time with strength. This time with calm. I promise to stay. I promise to choose you.”

Goliana held his gaze and spoke with gentle truth. “Golion, you could have said something. Instead of silence and disappearance, you should have spoken. Silence destroys more than it repairs. Communication is the key, Goribaby.”

Golion lowered his head for a moment as the truth settled into him. “You are right. My silence hurt you. My silence hurt us. I will never choose silence again.”

Her answer came soft but full of meaning. “I never stopped loving you. I tried to move on, but my heart kept returning to you.”

Golion stepped closer and pulled her gently into his arms. His hold was strong yet tender. “Let me care for your heart now. Let us rebuild what we lost. Let us begin again with clear words and open hearts.”

Goliana rested her head against his chest. For the first time in a long while, her shoulders relaxed.

“Yes, Golion. I want this. I want us.”

The night stayed warm around them. The lanterns glowed softly, the vine harp played its calm rhythm, and the breeze moved lightly through the leaves.

No confusion.

No fear.

Only two hearts finding their way back to each other with simple, clear love and a lesson they would never forget.

Silence breaks.

Communication Heals
