SONGS OF MY HEART
<p>I see him now.</p><p><br/></p><p>Once he was far from me- but now he's so close that our breaths forget who they belong to.</p><p><br/></p><p>He used to be a mystery,</p><p>like a quiet riddle crawling beneath my skin-</p><p>but I did not solve him.</p><p>I unfolded into knowing.</p><p><br/></p><p>We are no blank pages-</p><p>we are ink,</p><p>spilling into something that will outlive us.</p><p><br/></p><p>How I thought I was in "love" with my past?!</p><p>This-</p><p>is true love.. something that answers back.</p><p><br/></p><p>My heart does a little jingle just at the thought of kissing him-</p><p>Playing Caribbean blue with strings of my pulse- a song only my body remembers.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not even a flicker of doubt in my heart, he completes me so much I'm afraid -</p><p> what remains will be if he ever leaves me.</p><p><br/></p><p>Beautiful things break too...</p><p><br/></p><p>My peace says he will not abandon me... making it louder than my fear.</p><p>And I-</p><p>I believe him like my faith in God.</p><p><br/></p><p>Finally, I have found the broken piece of my mirror-</p><p>And it's Him.</p>
