Hi, I'd be saying my side of the story.

All I'd be writing is from my own perspective, and before you judge me, make sure you see it from my point of view.

My name is Florence, and I'm always the addition in every friend group. It's either I chased the person before joining, or I'm just the one that got added.

I met my trio friends when I was in 100 level. That made us four. I was closer to one of them because she was in my department. But there was something about the friendship that I did not like.

I had just left secondary school, and I was a bit spoilt. So when I joined this friend group, it felt weird when I heard the concept of "we have to manage." I wasn't being proud, but my dad always made sure we got what we needed. Back then, I didn't know how to pass my message in a calm and respectful way. I was rude and blunt.

To cut the story short, the friendship of the trio plus Florence ended.

Now I know you're all wondering why it ended...

There were numerous reasons, but one part stood out to me.

You know how trio friendships are. There's always a duo in a trio. I was always left out, and I felt like I didn't belong.

Let me give you a backstory so you'd know I'm not exaggerating.

While I was staying at there place.... I just had my bath and was heading back to their room when I heard them lock the door from the inside leaving me shivering and begging them to open the door. Mind you I was just with my towel and it was very cold. I heard them laughing and till today I still don't get the joke.

Now back to why I left.

So, on a certain day, I decided to go stay with my friends for a few days.

We decided to cook, and we all contributed money. We cooked, and when it got to dishing out the food, I realized my portion was the smallest. I was very slim then, so maybe they thought I didn't eat much.

So I asked, "Why is my food so small? The stew won't even be enough."

They all looked at me, shocked, and said we had to manage it.

It felt weird to me, but I didn't say anything.

Where I schooled, we had to make do with well water. The trio drank well water, but I told them I couldn't do that.

They looked at me, shocked, and were like, "If we can drink it, you can too."

The last thing that broke the camel's back was when I caught one of the trio—the one I was closer to—checking my phone. She was reading my WhatsApp messages, going through my private conversations, and even checking my bank account.

When I decided to change my phone password, she said, "Florence, so you don't feel your phone is safe with me?"

She got angry with me like it was my fault.

Now, this isn't where I'm going with the story. I'm just giving you a background on how my first school trio plus Florence friendship ended.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
