<p><br/></p><p>(The blue 💙 heart poet)</p><p><br/></p><p>If You'd Allow Me To Right My Wrongs </p><p><br/></p><p>As I write to you,</p><p>I carry rain in my chest,</p><p>I wear a smile sewn with trembling hands,</p><p>I walk barefoot yesterday,</p><p>And all these are not of your doings.</p><p><br/></p><p>I wanted from you what I couldn’t give myself.</p><p>You loved as you should,</p><p>Walked as you should,</p><p>But I was the one with the problems.</p><p>I wanted you to become who you were not.</p><p>I wanted you to be perfect,</p><p>When in fact, no man is.</p><p><br/></p><p>If you’d allow me to right my wrongs,</p><p>I’ll do it the best I can.</p><p><br/></p><p>And as I reach for you now,</p><p>I do so with open palms,</p><p>No longer trying to mold you</p><p>Into shapes never meant for you to bear.</p><p>I have learned that love is not sculpting </p><p>It is tending, witnessing, becoming.</p><p><br/></p><p>If you’d take my hand this time,</p><p>You’d find no expectations folded inside it,</p><p>Only the quiet truth of someone</p><p>Who has finally met themselves</p><p>And wishes to meet you anew.</p><p><br/></p><p>Let me water what I once uprooted,</p><p>Let me listen where I once demanded,</p><p>Let me love you without the shadow</p><p>Of who I hoped you’d be.</p><p><br/></p><p>For if you allow me to right my wrongs,</p><p>I’ll offer not perfection,</p><p>But presence ...</p><p>Not promises written in fear,</p><p>But steps taken in honesty.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe,</p><p>maybe,</p><p>We can begin again</p><p>Not as who we were,</p><p>But as who we are</p><p>Finally learning to become.</p><p><br/></p><p>Oh </p><p>How I miss you.</p>
