<p>I was in a class where we were discussing gender roles then we proceeded to sing "Willy Willy" - it goes like this:</p><p><br/></p><p>"Willy Willy Willy Willy o</p><p>Mummy in the kitchen cooking rice</p><p>Daddy in the parlour watching film</p><p>Children in the garden playing games</p><p>I say stop</p><p>Change your style- Another style - Be like that"</p><p><br/></p><p>It's the rhyme we grew up with, now thought to be "misogynistic" but here's what -</p><p><br/></p><p>What if "change your style" was saying this is the role we just showed you; now <strong>change it.</strong></p><p><strong><br/></strong></p><p>Change? How? Change in the sense that we shouldn't just <strong>limit</strong> a role to a gender.</p><p><br/></p><p>There'll always be gender roles and individual differences, can I say it's the circle of life?</p><p><br/></p><p>The problem lies when it's restrictive and performative rather than inclusive and flexible.</p><p><br/></p><p>A woman being in the kitchen isn't bad but saying that's her job; it's wrong.</p><p>A man going to work and coming back tired and you still nag him and say " isn't that why you're a man?"; it's wrong.</p><p>The roles are there to keep society from going into struggle- it seems that struggle is happening now.</p><p>The soonest we realize that women deserve rest, men deserve rest, men cry, women and men work while still carrying out their societal given jobs without trampling on each other - the better we realize that Gender roles preserves the dignity, motivation and discipline of both gender.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because they are called roles doesn't mean you can't help!!</p><p><br/></p><p>The poorest state of mind is believing that your various roles excuse your attitude.</p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
