The Experience. My Wabi-Sabi journey _ Final part (The Stone the Builders rejected)

I was the stone the builders rejected, I was the stone the builders considered unfit for use but guess what....

"The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone."(Psalms 118:22).

That stone is ME, yes I became a cornerstone but before then....a lot had happened, but I thank God for His strength and the good people I was surrounded with. .... Let me continue with my Wabi-Sabi journey....

Continuing from the last piece, early into the first term, the school usually drill the newly admitted SS1 students in form of inter class competitions versus the SS2 students to identify brilliance and note them for school representations. Luckily, the same elder brother I talked about just graduated from the school, so as my class teacher saw my face and my name, she easily identified me and coupled with the determination I had that reflected in my character and studies, I was picked as the chief speaker representing the seven arms of SS1 against the school's second fiercest debater, a female who was in SS2, when I realized this, I wasn't moved at all (overconfidence o😂). The day came and this girl almost finished me, but surprisingly, Throughout my presentation, I never stammered for once!! Then I realized what confidence could do to build you, assuming I had come out of my shell years back I would have stopped stammering completely by then, but then, SS1 won ....I won and that debate became the talk of the school for days(This girl had an unbeaten run in the school 🤌). I was joyful not because I won, but because I had started to build THE BETTER DAYS AHEAD...

I was never looking for the opportunity to represent any school, I only wanted to show the world THE ATTENTION A STAMMERER CAN COMMAND WITH HIS ELOQUENCE!! And I actually did show the world, right from that time, I started winning trophies for the school, and the stammerer of yesterday had his first individual academic award in SS2🥹, when others were showing off new phones which they saved every penny to buy, I could confidently say my knowledge (given to me by God 🙌) gave me a latest phone then (Samsung galaxy o🥹😂😂😂).... I won't want to be sounding arrogant, you can check the achievement section of my profile to see what I'm talking about. ALL GLORY BE TO GOD 👆🙌. Today, the stammerer that was denied access to a state competition mounted international stages to deliver speeches. THE STAMMERER OF YESTERDAY IS NOW A PUBLIC SPEAKER!!😭

First, I thank God for His strength, also I thank my primary school teacher because the last word that replays in my head everytime I'm about to mount any podium is "Oyinloye, no one can debate as you do" Even as I'm typing this, I feel like going to street to start giving an unwanted speech 😂, because that statement still gingers me till today....and it has really helped in boosting my confidence. (I owe her so much 🥹🥹). Also I thank my brother whose words further triggered my awakening, I also thank my friends who still accepted me and never for once made fun of me despite seeing my speech defect (One of them is actually reading this🤭), Shout out to my schooolsss!!🥳 they believed in me and released me to climb platforms and deliver, Lastly, I thank YOU🫵 for reading this far right from the Part 1 of this series. (Muah❤️, )<del> did I just type muah😂
</del>

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN....
Your flaw is not a setback, it's a set piece waiting to develop. That big break you're expecting might not come if you don't learn to live with that flaw because beauty is embedded in your flaw, discover it. Like it because IT'S A LITTLE OFF CENTER, IT'S GOT WABI-SABI!!

PEACE ✌️

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
