<p>You sit down at the desk. A gun, some water, a man tied to a chair. He killed a man's daughter. If you kill him it won't make you rich, but if you don't, he gets to live right next door to your wife and kids.</p><p>So you must choose: if he lives, or dies.</p><p>It seems straightforward. No surprise, then, when you pick up the gun and fire three bullets. The man drops dead. Doctors pull his corpse from the chair, drag him to the fire, cremate him, berate him. He's gone.</p><p>Goodbye, they say. Thank you.</p><p>Now the test begins.</p><p>They tie you to the chair. Gag around your chin. They bring in a woman, same age as you, and sit her down at the same desk too.</p><p>This man here, they say, killed somebody's son.</p><p>Without hesitation she picks up the gun.</p><p>She fires a few rounds into you. You die. She's tied to the chair.</p><p>Next guy, same rules. And it goes on like this, forever and ever, until one day one guy, real clever, goes: wait. Hold on. I refuse to kill him, whatever he's done. I choose to forgive him.</p><p>Silence and shock all over the room.</p><p>It's never happened before, they say. This is exciting. This is new.</p><p>The guy picks up the glass from the desk.</p><p>Sips the water. They bring in the mother of the last dead daughter and say: this man here won't kill her killer.</p><p>Without hesitation, she pulls the trigger.</p><p>She kills both men. Then she aims at herself.</p><p>Wait. Wait. Hold on. Wait, they say. We can help.</p><p>The next day they strap her in the chair.</p><p>This woman killed two men. And yeah, you get the point. Ad infinitum. People finding the good in violence. Told it takes much to kill a killer. Just tell him he's good for killing the sinner, and even if the sin lives in the mirror, he'll put on the uniform of a hero or villain. Say God will award the best man winner, and kill God's sons and daughters in a prideful rage, champagne with dinner.</p><p>In the good guy test, no one can refuse.</p><p>One of the testers said, quietly: I'm confused. Of every choice they could ever choose, every single time they lose.</p><p>Then you find it strange. Strange that in all this fuss, whenever they shoot, they never shoot us?...</p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.

— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:

How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.

How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.

Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
