The heart that never heals

It beats—

but only because it forgot how to stop.

A fragile thing,

stitched together by trembling hands

and nights that felt too long

for a body so small with pain.

It remembers every wound.

Every word that cut.

Every leaving.

Every echo of footsteps that didn’t return.

Time passes,

but the ache does not dilute—

it only settles deeper,

like dust in an abandoned room

no one visits anymore.

There is no lesson here,

no soft light waiting at the end.

Only the quiet certainty

that some hearts

don’t break once—

they break forever,

slowly, surgically,

until the hurt becomes a home

they never wanted

but cannot leave.

And so it beats—

fragile, faltering,

not in hope,

but in surrender.
