THE ILLUSION OF FOREVER
<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>The word love is just like an illusion to my hearing.</p><p><br/></p><p>As I navigate through the world, it has made me realize the weakness and consequences of love.</p><p><br/></p><p>I have watched different relationships crumble before my own eyes. I have seen several broken homes — a married man abandoning his wife and five children just to chase a romantic fling with another woman… and he calls this love.</p><p><br/></p><p>When a man wants to get close to you, he says all the sweet things, makes promises he can’t keep, and swears you’re the only one — only to leave you broken, betrayed, and alone.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one you love most chooses your best friend over you, shattering every bit of trust and hope you held.</p><p><br/></p><p>And every man you meet? He seems more interested in what is under your skirt than in genuine love.</p><p><br/></p><p>This has always made me ask myself: Isn’t love just an illusion?</p><p><br/></p><p>For me, it is.</p><p><br/></p><p>Love fools people into thinking it will last forever. But the reality? Love can be selfish. Love can be destructive. Love can be messy.</p><p><br/></p><p>It has the power to diminish a perfectly defined future.</p><p><br/></p><p>It can neither be defined, nor can it be controlled.</p><p><br/></p><p>To me, love is nothing but… an illusion.</p>
