You might be wondering why that topic.

Yes, the level of corruption is now very insane, very unbelievable.

I was in a taxi yesterday, and we got to a checkpoint. A passenger had some load at the back and the driver was directed to stop for a check but guess what—he just stretched out his hand to bribe the police, and he was allowed to go.

Do you know how much he used to free himself from being checked? Imagine there was a human head at the back of the car? Do you know how much would have been paid over the head of that person? How much to escape apprehension and judgment?

I'll tell you... ₦200.

Yes, you read that right—₦...2...0...0. Two hundred Nigerian naira. That was how much it would have taken to buy freedom.

Now, this is beyond the security officers not being paid; it is now greed, greed on a whole new level because what exactly does ₦200 want to buy? I mean, it can't even buy one bag of water, even. It is just ₦200 that could cost the lives of all the citizens of a whole country. Because imagine someone coming into a country with a weapon strong enough to wipe out every single person in that country—with ₦200, they'll sell the lives of the citizens.

Ahhh.

Is it only me that is seeing this danger ni?

And there we go, complaining about the leadership. Are those leaders not also humans, citizens, brothers, sisters, family to us? Did they not come from us? So why complain? What we need to do now is to start working on ourselves, our brothers, sisters, friends, and family. We need to bring integrity into everyone around us. Be conscious of every wrong move and correct that brother of yours no matter how small and unserious that situation looks.

The change begins with us.

Let me know your thoughts in the comments section.

Thank you for reading.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
