The last message (Part 3)

Teni didn’t scream.

She couldn’t.

Her voice felt… gone.

Like something had taken it.

Slowly, she turned her head.

Nothing behind her.

But the whisper was still there… breathing softly against her neck.

Her phone buzzed again.

She looked down.

“You’re already too late.”

Her hands started shaking uncontrollably.

“What do you want from me…” she whispered.

For the first time—

The reply didn’t come as a message.

It came from the mirror.

“You.”

The reflection stepped forward.

Not moving like a normal reflection… but like a person walking inside glass.

Teni backed away, hitting the wall.

“No… no… no…”

The reflection raised its hand again—

And this time…

It came through.

Not fully.

Just the fingers.

Long… darker… twisted versions of hers.

They slid out of the mirror like smoke turning solid.

Teni tried to run—

But her legs refused.

Her phone dropped to the floor.

Cracked screen.

Still lighting up.

New message:

“Error: Identity conflict.”

Her vision blurred.

The room flickered.

Like a bad signal.

Like reality itself was glitching.

The reflection was now halfway out.

Smiling wider than any human should.

“One of us has to stay.”

Teni felt a sudden pull—

Not on her body.

On her mind.

Memories flashing.

Her childhood.

Her voice.

Her name.

Everything… being dragged.

Her phone buzzed one last time.

Screen barely visible now.

“Transfer complete.”

Morning came.

The room was quiet.

Teni sat calmly on her bed.

Phone in her hand.

No fear.

No confusion.

Just a slow… unnatural smile.

Her phone buzzed.

Unknown number.

She opened it.

“Don’t sleep tonight.”

She smiled wider.

And typed—

“I won’t.”
