THE PAIN WE DON'T SEE

In life, many people carry invisible wounds, silent battles that the world knows nothing about. The image of a man being scolded while already struck by an arrow speaks deeply to this truth. The one shouting sees only what is on the surface, not the hidden pain that bleeds within.

Too often, we are quick to judge, blame, or criticize others without understanding what they are going through. We speak harsh words that become new arrows, deepening their wounds. Yet behind every quiet person, every mistake, or every tearless face, there might be a story of heartbreak, betrayal, or struggle.

If only we paused to look beyond appearances, to ask, “Are you okay?” before reacting, the world would be gentler. Kindness costs nothing, but it heals more than we can imagine. Empathy turns anger into understanding, and compassion replaces judgment with love.

Let us remember everyone is fighting a battle we cannot see. Instead of throwing words like arrows, may we offer words that comfort, uplift, and heal. For in the end, it is not strength to hurt the wounded, but grace to show mercy to the broken.
