Another Monday to Lagos' salary earners is always a nightmare. It is only in Lagos you are 30 minutes late from bed and you are automatically late for work for that day 😂.

The roads and bus stops are always filled to the brim with passengers and commercial buses in a hurry, This is a routine that is for sure going to happen especially on a Monday morning.

The traffic is mostly unbearable and from the little survey held by my team (Green Lagos) organization, we pinpointed the commercial buses as the foundation of this traffic and minimal traffic lights.on major roads.

Commercial buses are always in a hurry and compete with each other because there are unauthorized bus stops where passengers stand to board buses, and this causes an interception with other vehicles coming from behind or making an outbound or inbound turn.

Most Lagos roads are jam-packed with road sellers, most even sell on the road, especially at locations like Iyana-Ipaja- and Ikotun axis. This with no doubt disrupts the free-flowing of vehicles.

Without forgetting the fact that traffic lights are minimal and the ones available are not fully functioning. A series of surveys have shown that if traffic lights are in place on some designated roads and bus stops it would reduce the congestion in the specified areas.

When vehicles know when to pass and stop and undesignated and unauthorized bus stops are scrapped without forgetting the market woman who had made the roads tiny for vehicles to pass easily, would for sure reduce and minimize some slow movement and boost the free-flow of buses.

Maybe this development can make Lagos and its Mondays a less worrisome day.

Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
