"what if we treated our minds like our favorite gardens, with care, attention and nurturing?"

The youth of today face unique sets of challenges that can take a toll on their mental health. Behind the façade of achievement and success, a disturbing reality sits in store. The relentless pursuit of excellence fueled by societal expectations and personal ambition.

Imagine being trapped in a never ending cycle of exams, assignments and grades. the pressure to perform is suffocating with every test score and GPA dictating worth. Having being a victim of GPA depression I can sadly say the struggle is real.

"overlooking the academic pressure cooker, there's the social media paradox"

Social media platforms as we know has consumed so many youths of our time and made them a vessel to the whims and whispers of the world that they don't know to not care. it highlights the reels of other's lives creating unrealistic expectations and fueling unnecessary comparison.

The constant assault of perfect lives and success stories leave young people feeling inadequate, anxious and unworthy when sadly 90% of these things are fake. If I describe the media I would say, it's like living in a world that's moving too fast and you're struggling to keep up. Even though I ask myself everyday "WHY MUST WE"

"We manage to scale through these problems that 60% of Nigerian adults cannot understand and then run into career dilemma"

Have you ever wondered why people do the jobs they do? it's always one of three things: passion, money drive or family pressure. The job market is getting increasingly competitive and unfair with pressure to secure high paying jobs even in unfair situations where jobs are denied disregarding the best qualifications. The very definition of success is being redefined. We are left feeling lost and uncertain about the supposedly "bright future"

Young people are expected to have it all figured out with little room for errors and exploration. At the end of the day, these pressures add up to the cumulative effect of skyrocketing anxiety, stress, depression, burnout, self esteem and confidence fall as academic pressures keep piling up, social media keeps getting more hypocritical.

"Don't we think it's time to confront the harsh realities of these pressures?" Prioritize mental health! Take a break! Talk to someone!

Make success what you want it to be! Keep a clean head space and above all prioritize yourself by remembering to "never step out of your comfort zone to accommodate others because YOUR MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS!!!

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
