<p>Unemployment is not our biggest problem in Nigeria.<strong> Education is</strong>.</p><p>Not the absence of classrooms or the absence of lecturers.</p><p><strong>The absence of useful information.</strong></p><p>Tell me why a 500-level student can defend a 40-page project, quote theories from three different textbooks, survive four years of assignments and examinations, and still not know how to write a well-tailored CV.</p><p><br/></p><p>Children were taken to a flyover bridge for excursion. Adults applauded. </p><p>That should have scared us more than the bridge itself.</p><p>Because the real tragedy was not the children standing on the flyover.</p><p>It was the adults standing beneath it, convinced that exposure and education are the same thing.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then a young girl stood up and said Garri is better than rice because Garri is a lifesaver. People laughed.</p><p>I did not because while some of us heard comedy, she was explaining the economics of survival.</p><p>"Rice is enjoyment. Garri is emergency contact."</p><p><span style="background-color: transparent;">It is not actually foolishness, it </span><span style="background-color: transparent;">is just intelligence wearing slippers.</span></p><p><br/></p><p>And now we are told there is "more to life than your degree."</p><p>After WAEC. After JAMB. After school fees that rise</p><p>After projects, strikes, and sleepless nights.</p><p>The national encouragement suddenly becomes:</p><p>"You can sell akara. You can roast corn."</p><p>So the same country that spent years telling us "read your books so you won't suffer" is now saying "suffering is entrepreneurship."</p><p>Make una no use motivation cover policy failure.</p><p>The uprising is everywhere.</p><p><br/></p><p>A woman says she has PCOS or endometriosis, and the first question is:</p><p>"Can you still give birth?" and not "Are you okay?"</p><p>Not "How bad is the pain?"</p><p>Apparently, in this society, a woman's fertility is considered more urgent than her suffering.</p><p><br/></p><p>And you, yes, you with the 50+ videos watched in two hours</p><p>Our thumbs are graduating faster than our minds.</p><p>Blogs know this.</p><p>That is why they write headlines that insult our intelligence and still get millions of clicks.</p><p>Because they know many of us will<strong> react before reading, argue before understanding, and share before verifying</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>So tell me honestly, who is the real olodo?</p><p>The person who lacks formal education?</p><p>Or the person who has access to books, Wi-Fi, research, lectures, podcasts, and the entire internet, yet refuses to think beyond the caption?</p><p>Maybe the uprising has already happened.</p><p>Maybe it happened the day we stopped asking <strong>why.</strong></p><p>The day we celebrated noise over nuance.</p><p>The day we allowed convenience to replace curiosity.</p><p>And if, while reading this, you keep thinking of somebody else instead of yourself, CONGRATULATIONS.</p><p>You have just met the first citizen of the Olodo Uprising.</p><p><br/></p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
