<p>Dear Notepad,</p><p><br/></p><p>Today I tried not to remember her.</p><p>But memory is stubborn</p><p>it lingers in quiet rooms</p><p>and hides in songs that play when the night is too still.</p><p><br/></p><p>I once dared to dream</p><p>of tracing forever in the softness of her laughter,</p><p>of finding home in the rhythm of her breath,</p><p>of waking each morning to the miracle</p><p>of her still choosing me.</p><p><br/></p><p>I imagined learning her</p><p>not just the curve of her smile</p><p>but the silence behind it,</p><p>the battles she never announced,</p><p>the prayers she whispered when no one listened.</p><p><br/></p><p>I wanted to be the man</p><p>who understood her without translation,</p><p>who saw her fears and did not flinch,</p><p>who loved her not for the light she wore in public</p><p>but for the shadows she trusted me with.</p><p><br/></p><p>I dreamed of friendship first</p><p>of inside jokes that outlived trends,</p><p>of hands intertwined in grocery aisles,</p><p>of building something sacred</p><p>from ordinary days.</p><p><br/></p><p>And yes,</p><p>I dreamed of closeness</p><p>of the electricity of her nearness,</p><p>of the quiet surrender in shared moments,</p><p>of the way love feels</p><p>when it is both fire and peace at once.</p><p><br/></p><p>I saw years unfolding</p><p>silver strands in her hair</p><p>that I would call beautiful,</p><p>anniversaries marked not just by dates</p><p>but by battles survived together.</p><p><br/></p><p>I imagined saying,</p><p>“Just us,”</p><p>and meaning it</p><p>when life tested every vow.</p><p><br/></p><p>But some dreams</p><p>arrive only to teach.</p><p><br/></p><p>She was never mine to keep</p><p>only mine to understand</p><p>for a season.</p><p><br/></p><p>And so tonight,</p><p>I release the woman I couldn’t have.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not with bitterness,</p><p>but with gratitude</p><p>for showing me</p><p>the kind of love I am capable of giving,</p><p>and the kind I still believe exists.</p><p><br/></p><p>I dared to dream</p><p>of the woman I couldn’t have.</p>

The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality

For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
