Troubles of This Gen & the Echo of the Next
<p>We grew up in a world that kept moving even when we were breaking.</p><p>No pause.</p><p>No breath.</p><p>Just go.</p><p>We learned early how to act okay.</p><p>How to carry pain without leaking.</p><p>How to laugh with a tired heart.</p><p>How to say “I’m fine” like a reflex.</p><p>We weren’t taught how to heal —</p><p>only how to endure.</p><p>And now our minds are loud.</p><p>Overthinking at midnight.</p><p>Scrolling to feel something.</p><p>Loving people who don’t know how to love back.</p><p>Searching for meaning in places that keep taking pieces of us.</p><p>We’re trying so hard not to become the things that hurt us,</p><p>but some days the wounds feel older than we are.</p><p>Still…</p><p>somewhere inside us, hope refuses to die.</p><p>Maybe it’s small.</p><p>Maybe it flickers.</p><p>But it’s there.</p><p>Because we know that the next generation shouldn’t have to learn love through survival.</p><p>They shouldn’t have to apologize for being soft.</p><p>They shouldn’t learn silence before self-expression.</p><p>If all we manage to do in this lifetime</p><p>is break one cycle,</p><p>untangle one old pain,</p><p>teach one child that their gentleness is not a weakness—</p><p>then all this weight meant something.</p><p>We may never be fully healed.</p><p>But we are the ones who started the healing.</p><p>We are the bruised hands</p><p>opening the door</p><p>so someone after us can walk through without bleeding.</p><p>And yes, it hurts.</p><p>God, it hurts.</p><p>But there is meaning here.</p><p>In the ache.</p><p>In the trying.</p><p>In the becoming.</p><p>We are the dark before the dawn.</p><p>Not pretty.</p><p>Not poetic.</p><p>But necessary.</p>
