Whenever someone asks about my favorite movie, the first thing that comes to mind is always the After franchise. Inevitably, the next question is, “But weren’t Hardin and Tessa toxic?” And I won’t deny that they were. Their love was messy and painful, but through the chaos, they found themselves—and they found each other.

What always stayed with me was the song “Us” by James Bay, used to begin and end their story. It doesn’t promise an easy love. Instead, it speaks about the trials that come with something real, and the belief that if two people are willing to fight through the hurt, the darkness, and the work, then love can survive.

So tell me how to be in this world

Tell me how to breathe in and feel no hurt

Tell me how ’cause I believe in something

I believe in us

Tell me when the light goes out

That even in the dark we can find a way out

Tell me now ’cause I believe in something

I believe in us

I believe in something

And I believe in us

The poem that follows is inspired by these lyrics and the idea that love is not defined by ease, but by endurance—the willingness to move through pain and still choose one another.

I Believe in Us

So tell me how to stand in this world

With my hands shaking, heart split open,

Tell me how to breathe

When every breath still remembers the hurt.

Love was never the easy road—

It’s the long way around the fire,

The part where you walk barefoot

Through pain, through torture, through quiet torment

And still decide not to turn back.

When the light goes out

And the dark feels louder than hope,

I search for you in the shadows,

Because even there

I believe we can find a way out.

We bruise, we break, we doubt—

But something keeps pulling us closer,

Something stubborn, something alive,

A faith that refuses to let go.

I believe in something

Bigger than fear, stronger than the damage done.

I believe in something

That survives the nights that try to end us.

And if love asks for work,

For patience carved out of pain,

Then I’ll learn every hard lesson it demands—

Because if it’s strong,

It will pass through it all.

Tell me how, tell me now—

When everything says run,

I still choose to stay.

I believe in something.

And I believe in us.

Real love isnt meant to be easy, its meant to hurt sometimes, sometimes it feels like the other person is giving up maybe because of whatever is going on around them, that’s when you come in, when the other has 10 percent of energy that’s where you bring in the remaining 90

It comes with trials, sometimes pain, sometimes anger, sometimes trauma that never healed, trust issues insecurities but as long as you both believe in each other, then true love will always prevail.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
