Voices I Carry
<p>There’s a voice that says,</p><p>Just take the first step — it’s gonna be fine.</p><p>And then there’s another one that wants it all at once —</p><p>no waiting, no process, just results.</p><p><br/></p><p>But maybe… you never know until you try.</p><p>Maybe that’s why I never tried.</p><p>Because fear sometimes sounds like wisdom,</p><p>and overthinking feels like preparation.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then there’s me —</p><p>the girl who wants to get it right every time,</p><p>as if being perfect is the only way to be enough.</p><p>As if mistakes cancel everything else out.</p><p><br/></p><p>So I listen to the voice that says,</p><p>Be fast. Be sharp. Start already.</p><p>But this isn’t a movie,</p><p>and there’s no perfect scene waiting to happen.</p><p><br/></p><p>Still, another voice, much softer, keeps saying,</p><p>Just try.</p><p>It’s gentle, almost desperate.</p><p>And I feel pulled —</p><p>not by people, but by everything I told myself in my head</p><p>that I haven’t lived up to yet.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some days, I just want quiet.</p><p>I'm tired.</p><p>Tired of holding back dreams</p><p>because I’m scared they’ll break midair.</p><p><br/></p><p>But not today.</p><p>Today, I won’t stand still.</p><p>I’ll move — even if I don’t know the direction.</p><p>I’ll rise — even if it’s not perfect.</p><p>I’ll speak — even if I tremble.</p><p>I’ll try — not because I’m ready,</p><p>but because I’m finally letting myself begin.</p><p><br/></p><p>And maybe in this tiny motion,</p><p>with no applause and no spotlight,</p><p>I’ll hear something honest.</p><p>I’ll hear me.</p>
