WEDNESDAY

<span ;="">A COLLECTION OF VIGNETTES

<span ;="" style="font-size:20px">* WEDNESDAY

<span ;="">There exists a peculiar gravity to Wednesday, that midpoint of the week, a day neither fledgling nor terminal, but poised precariously in the fulcrum of time’s procession. It is not merely another numeral upon the calendar it is the hinge upon which the soul swings, the clandestine architect of moods and tempests.

<span ;="">Wednesday is the paradox of existence distilled: a day of radiant affirmation and desolate negation. It is the theater of fragile joys and sudden devastations, of laughter born in the morning only to dissolve into silence by dusk. It is the harbinger of “yes” and the executor of “no,” a crucible in which bonds are both solemnly forged and mercilessly sundered.

<span ;="">Its wonders are seldom noble; they carry with them a residue of the grotesque astonishments both marvelous and accursed, as though Providence itself experiments upon human hearts on this singular day. Wednesday is both gift and affliction, both sanctuary and exile.

<span ;="">And then comes Thursday the day of consequence, the reluctant custodian of burdens it did not summon. Thursday must cradle the ashes and embers left in Wednesday’s wake, bearing the weight of choices it never authored. It is the day of reckoning for mysteries not its own, the unconsulted heir to calamities and fleeting raptures alike.

<span ;="">Thus, I confess: I wish not to recall Wednesday, for memory itself is a wound when turned toward its bitter theater. And yet, like all indelible scars, it remains etched upon the quiet corridors of thought, waiting to be remembered against my will.
