<p>⚖️🌅 _MORNING DOSE _ </p><p><br/></p><p>" *MENS REA*" </p><p>(What's the state of your HEART?)</p><p>What exactly is mens rea?</p><p>Mens rea is Latin for “guilty mind.”</p><p>In criminal law, it refers to the state of mind that accompanied the prohibited conduct, that is the state of your mind before committing a crime.</p><p><br/></p><p>For example, imagine two people cause the same physical harm.</p><p> *Person A* deliberately or intentionally attacks someone intending to cause serious injury.</p><p> *Person B* accidentally or mistakenly causes the same injury without intending to hurt anyone.</p><p>The physical result may look similar, but their mental states are different, this is very important in law but nevertheless only *GOD* truly sees the heart of men! Human beings generally judge what they can see But we don't have direct access to another person's heart....</p><p>“ *For the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7* The law may ask for the reasons behind an act but God goes deeper by searching the heart himself!</p><p><br/></p><p>Christianity isn't merely about performing the right actions. God cares about the motive behind the action.
