<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>The cruelest truth of living </p><p>is how a heartbeat can vanish </p><p>while the love it shaped </p><p>stays behind,</p><p>unhoused and hurting </p><p><br/></p><p>You were the warmth in my winters,</p><p>the steady in my shaking hands;</p><p>now i crawl through empty rooms </p><p>where your absence </p><p>rings louder than sound.</p><p><br/></p><p>i didn’t know our last ordinary moment </p><p>was already turning into a goodbye</p><p>that i was watching you become </p><p>a story i’d reread </p><p>to feel close to you again.</p><p><br/></p><p>now you live in the dim corners </p><p>of the life we never finished,</p><p>fading a little each morning </p><p>as i fight to hold you </p><p>and let you go </p><p>at the same time.</p><p><br/></p><p>and still</p><p>and still the saddest part of love </p><p>is loving someone so deeply </p><p>that when they become a memory </p><p>the world becomes one too </p>
