Regular antibiotic drugs don’t work for some people anymore. It is so bad that in some cases, even the most powerful antibiotic drugs have no effect.
Scientists have discovered that this happens when patients abuse these antibiotic drugs by taking them when they shouldn’t.
So today, we’re going to look at antibiotics;
- What they are
- Why they don’t work for some people anymore
- The right way to use them
- The dangers of wrong use… and as a bonus
- Some natural antibiotics which have all the good sides of the drugs, but not the bad sides (please consult your doctor or pharmacist before use in your specific situation)
Firstly, what are Antibiotics?
Antibiotics are medicines that fight infections caused by bacteria in humans and animals by either killing the bacteria or making it difficult for the bacteria to grow and multiply.
Now, What Happens When Antibiotics Are Used Unnecessarily?
Taking antibiotic drugs too often or for the wrong reasons can change bacteria so much that antibiotics don't work against them. This is called bacterial resistance or antibiotic resistance. Some bacteria are now resistant to even the most powerful antibiotics available.
And What Are the Consequences of Taking Antibiotics Incorrectly?
If you take an antibiotic drug when you have a viral infection, the drug attacks bacteria in your body. These are bacteria that are helpful or are not causing disease (known as probiotics). This incorrect treatment can then promote antibiotic-resistant properties in harmless bacteria that can be shared with other bacteria.
Can Too Much Antibiotics Cause Liver Damage?
Yes.
One thing I want you to know is too much of antibiotics are a common cause of drug-induced liver injury. Most cases of antibiotic-induced liver injury are idiosyncratic, unpredictable and largely dose-independent.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF TAKING TOO MUCH ANTIBIOTICS?
Common side effects of antibiotics include nausea, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Sometimes these symptoms can lead to dehydration and other problems. Ask your doctor/ pharmacist about drug interactions and potential side effects of antibiotics.
HOW MANY DAYS OF ANTIBIOTICS IS TOO MUCH?
From research, it’s always been said from onset that telling patients to finish a full course of antibiotics even if they're already feeling better not only fails to prevent drug-resistant “superbugs” from forming, but also might make those pathogens stronger.
CAN I TAKE ANTIBIOTICS FOR 5 DAYS INSTEAD OF 7 DAYS ?
As long as the infection does not involve pus (such as an abscess), it can be treated with antibiotics for five to six days.
LASTLY, here are few natural antibiotics which can replace the drugs 👇
1. Ginger
2. Natural honey
3. Garlic
Please speak to your doctor to know how to use it for best results, and be careful to not abuse them too.
Thank you! 🙏
