Why is life so cruel to me? PART 1

Hi everyone! I am new here and would be reaching out to you, more like a direct conversation through my stories and write ups. Please give me a follow🙏🙏🙏

I sat down there, drenched in rain wondering how the stage of my life would pass and when things would become better again.

My name is Ama. I am a young girl of 16 years done with secondary school and hawking on the street of Lagos. My dad passed away when I was 6 due to some unforseen event. My mum on the hand is a hardworking woman who roasts corn and pear on the street and is hardly at home.

Things were not easy on us, we couldn't eat 3 square meals. I had to join my mum in doing something so we can survive. I started hawking pure water. I am naturally a shy person so even going about doing this sort of work I didn't know how it would turn out but I had to tell myself that we had to eat!!! So I would get up early in the morning after helping my mum prepare my siblings for school, I will go out to sell my pure water. I was doing pretty well.

This Sunday evening, I was out selling my pure water but this time I was sitting under a shade in a woman I frequently visit to buy buns and eat whenever I was hungry. So I sat down there and we were gisting. So engrossed in our gist, I didn't notice this tinted Range Rover jeep that packed close and the driver was calm staring at us maybe after trying to get our attention and it didn't work. Mama okpe the woman I was gisting with noticed the man was looking our way so she greeted him and he pointed at me. I turned and bowed my head smiling as I greeted him. He smiled back and called me over. I went to his car and spoke with him. He bought the rest of the pure water I had that day and promised to patronize me again....said he needed it for his workers in his company.

Joyfully and in awe how God works wonders, I went to meet Mama okpe thanking God for helping me sell everything not just everything but finish early. So I went home grateful for this kind stranger God brought my way.

After a week, the same stranger in that Ranger Rover jeep, visited again. This time there was somebody in his passenger seat probably a friend I greeted them both and they smiled interestingly at me. The presumed owner of the car said to his friend in the passenger seat, "that's the girl I was telling you about" I smiled nervously but then, i didn't really bother. I am just here to sell my pure water.....
