Woman thou art transformed.

Dear Woman,

Learning from the women in the Bible has made a significant impact on my life. I find it hard to relate to most of the trends of womanhood in today’s curriculum. And the few who inspire me are women shaped by biblical culture.

I created Modernesty, a community and ministry dedicated to helping women and young girls explore their purpose and identity through Scripture. We aim to "restore the originality of womanhood."

It’s a calling to thoroughly understand our framework, holistically.

Here’s why:

One of the most updated yet confusing ideologies in today’s world is the idea that “you are okay the way you are.” And while it may not have started as a harmful message, it has slowly become the resting pillar for a lack of accountability and growth. Even when people feign growth, it is often to reinforce an arrogant, self-centered nature.

Do you truly feel okay the way you are?

Shouldn’t there be a desire for more?

What does more even look like?

And what motivates that desire?

Is it our need to feel seen by the ever-changing trends of society?

I’ll show you a scripture,

Apostle Paul, in Romans 12:2, draws a clear distinction between the world’s and God’s principles for living.

He shows that the world is designed to keep us in a frame, a loop, where we think we’re making progress but are only running in circles. We are constantly hungry for that feeling of fulfillment, to be different, to be more. Even those who appear to have made material progress still carry a craving, an urge to explore, to chase, to prove what they believe is good, acceptable, and the “perfect life.”

Even if we were to prove what is good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God, it cannot come from conformation.

We must move from what is generally expected to what is required: transformation.

But what kind of transformation?

The renewing of the mind.

A prominent and sacred area of man’s purpose.

You see, there is a mindset programmed by the world to keep you in the loop of conformity. And if you pay close attention, you’ll notice—they all sound the same. The books. The teachers. The influencers. The advice. It all subtly manages that mindset without ever truly challenging it.

We’ll think we’ve hit the jackpot, only to discover that we’re mentally right back in the same spot.

But truly, how does that affect us as women?

How would Mary Magdalene or Rahab have lived in our time and conformed to the world’s mindset?

What do you think they would be doing right now?

What would society tell them?

"Be who you are, queen. Let no one shame you for being yourself," right?

And slowly, what we think is womanhood becomes a repetition of certain phrases that give us a false sense of purpose, a counterfeit of what we were truly created for.

But the Gospel offers a mindset that permits growth.

A renewal that has thoroughly studied the concept of what is good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God.

It offers restoration, back to the original concept of creation.

It pulls you into the truth that answers the question: Why woman?

The Bible serves as a manual of thoughts, brilliantly expressed through stories, observations, and commandments.

And if one must find the truth, one must search the heart of the Creator.

Why?

Like I told a friend recently:

If I created a universe, it would have to rely on my knowledge as its truth

Because that would be the foundation, the building blocks of its existence; therefore, if a God created this universe, then the building blocks of its existence can only be sustained by the knowledge of God.

This is why we rely on the Bible, which pulls us closer to the truth of our existence, to answer questions that constantly fight for answers.

However, you and I cannot do it alone, for our minds have been corrupted by experiences, fleshly bias, and culture.

But graciously, God has given us His Spirit and His Son, offering a neutral perspective and an empathetic balance for transformation.

Why do we exist?

Why do we fight like other biblical women?

To transform our minds. The minds of others, and to bring other women into wholeness.

This woman seeks to extend a hand into a journey of discovery, exploring the lives of women who walked the path of transformation to see if they truly found the answer to 'Why woman?'

And as much as I learn, I will continue sharing with you.

I’ll write you again soon.

This is the invitation: to walk in truth, to rediscover your origin, and to live renewed.
