You Must Be A Computer Science Student Before You Learn Coding
<p>Forget what people say about needing to study computer science before becoming a web developer or software engineer. Discard that thought completely.
</p><p>Studying computer science can be an advantage, yes, but it’s not what determines whether you’ll be good at coding or not. Many people studied computer science and still don’t know how to code. In some schools, what they even teach is outdated, from the 90s, so the degree alone doesn’t guarantee knowledge or skill.
</p><p>I know so many people who never studied computer science but are doing amazingly well in tech today.
</p><p>Some of them only went back later to get a master’s or certificate after already building real experience. The truth is you can learn software development as a skill. You can start from anywhere, at any stage, and still do great.
</p><p>I didn’t study computer science either. I studied microbiology. But I chose to learn software development, and that’s what I’m doing now.
</p><p>So don’t let anyone limit you with false beliefs. You can become anything you want if you put your mind to it.
</p><p>Don’t wait for a degree to give you permission to chase your dream. Start learning, stay consistent, and you’ll be amazed at how far you’ll go.</p><p>

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
