Amazing things are not to be categorized into a label but I would tell them.
"Agriculture was in my life but Art decided to be with me."
From my 100 level days I had unknowingly created a strong artistic presence with my personality simply by being solitary;
existing in my own originality. I would draw, paint, and write poetry. And on rare occasions in my hostel insert myself in social circles that engaged in questions and arguments about religion, spirituality, philosophy, et cetera—while being open to familiar perspectives -because mine seemed odd/unfamiliar-, and because artists have magnetic personalities, I subtly introduced my Art to people: paintings, drawings, poetry and empathy as a medium of self-expression.
On another interesting page, in 100 or 200 level days in Federal University of Oyé-Ekiti -I must have been sixteen then- my ekphrastic poem titled 'Morphine' got published in my school's magazine "EWA" (English Writers Association). The news was quietly thrilling for me, although it happened to be my second publication, but it was my first one being published on a magazine (a campus magazine). This made me popular among my peers, and it also brought some sort of soothing reward for my depression.
As time went on, I had my poem published on "Periscope Magazine" while still in school, and two more of my poems in November 1st 2025. Like the unpredictable flapper of the wings of a butterfly, I experienced a fleeting happiness as sad experiences followed that month.
Before now, at age fifteen I had a poem published on a poetry site called "Poetry Soup" I wasn't expecting it. And I mostly write dark poems, and draw abstract diagrams (surrealism).
