Adulthood
<p>People say money is the root of all evil, but I beg to differ.</p>
<p>Adulthood is where it all begins.</p>
<p><br></p><p>Because once you're an adult, everything you think about boils down to money.</p>
<p>The two — money and adulthood — walk hand in hand.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>I started thinking about how to make money before I became an adult, but it wasn’t that serious back then.</p>
<p>Now, I think about it like my life depends on it (well, it does).</p>
<p>Little by little, the demands start rolling in — from you, your family, and everyone else.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>Everyone wants to be rich by twenty-four, but I’ve noticed something:</p>
<p>Once you become an adult, time flies.</p><p>In the blink of an eye, you’re thirty.</p>
<p>You’re hustling just to survive.</p><p>No one’s there to ask if you’ve eaten.</p>
<p>No one checks if you’re satisfied with your food.</p>
<p>No one is sending you free money.</p><p>You’ll wish you could go back to being a kid —</p>
<p>Because now, you're on your own.</p>
<p>You’re out with your friends, but your mind is stuck on how to recover the money you just spent.</p>
<p>You see them doing certain things, and you don’t want to join in —</p>
<p>But then again, you want to indulge a little.</p>
<p><br></p><p>And after that little indulgence?</p><p>The bills hit harder than the peer pressure ever did.</p><p>With adulthood comes independence.</p><p>With independence comes responsibility.</p><p>And responsibility sits on your shoulders until they ache.</p><p>Not to mention backache,headaches, neck aches,and at this point,brain aches.</p><p>It’s bad if you're an only child.</p><p>Worse if you have younger siblings.</p><p>Absolute hell if you're the firstborn.</p><p>I used to think the weight of responsibility depended on gender.</p><p>Turns out, I was deceiving myself.</p>

<p>As a lady, you still have to care for your parents, siblings, and yourself — and of course, look good doing it.</p>
<p>As a man, you're expected to take care of your parents, your siblings, sometimes even extended family — and your girlfriend, before you even think of yourself.</p>
<p>Not to talk of all the back aches and headaches and neck aches and everything aches, at this point even brain aches.</p>
<p>Now, it might seem like women have it easier.</p>
<p>But I beg to differ.</p>
<p>Still, that’s a topic for another day.</p>
<p><br></p><p>By the way,if you're not tired,you're notdoing it right.</p>
