"Maybe I wanted to see if you'd come."</p><p><br/></p><p>Amara looked away, trying not to smile too much.</p><p><br/></p><p>Throughout the morning, they talked more than they had the day before.</p><p><br/></p><p>She learned that Daniel loved music, hated crowded places, and had only transferred to the school a few weeks ago.</p><p><br/></p><p>For the first time, Amara noticed how easy it was to talk to him.</p><p><br/></p><p>There were no awkward silences.</p><p><br/></p><p>No pretending.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just two people slowly becoming comfortable with each other.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somewhere between the laughter and the little conversations, something began to change.</p><p><br/></p><p>Neither of them noticed it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Or maybe they did.</p><p><br/></p><p>They just weren't ready to give it a name.</p>
