Beautiful Pieces
<p><br/></p><p>I am not whole in the way</p><p>the world defines wholeness.</p><p>I have cracked in quiet places,</p><p>split along invisible fault lines</p><p>no one saw forming.</p><p><br/></p><p>But look closer.</p><p><br/></p><p>The light does not avoid me.</p><p>It slips gently into the fractures,</p><p>rests there,</p><p>turning sharp edges into silver.</p><p><br/></p><p>Beautiful pieces</p><p>don’t always fall loudly.</p><p>Sometimes they drift —</p><p>like dust in a golden room,</p><p>like thoughts you almost forget to finish.</p><p><br/></p><p>I have been undone before.</p><p>Unraveled at the seams</p><p>by love,</p><p>by fear,</p><p>by the quiet weight of growing up.</p><p><br/></p><p>But even undone,</p><p>I was still something.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because breaking</p><p>is not the opposite of beauty.</p><p>It is the beginning of texture.</p><p>And I have learned</p><p>that breaking is not always an ending.</p><p>Sometimes it is a rearranging —</p><p>a soft rebellion against</p><p>who I used to be.</p><p><br/></p><p>These hands have gathered</p><p>every fallen fragment:</p><p>the laughter I lost,</p><p>the love that bruised,</p><p>the dreams that shifted shape.</p><p><br/></p><p>I pressed them back to my chest,</p><p>not to hide them —</p><p>but to listen.</p><p><br/></p><p>And they whispered:</p><p>You are not ruined.</p><p>You are mosaic.</p><p>You are stained glass at sunrise.</p><p>You are a story told</p><p>in beautiful pieces.</p><p><br/></p><p>I am not flawless porcelain.</p><p>I am handmade.</p><p>I am reshaped.</p><p>I am fire-tested and sky-soaked.</p><p><br/></p><p>And if you look closely,</p><p>you will see it —</p><p>how the light lingers</p><p>longer on what has been cracked.</p><p><br/></p><p>Beautiful pieces</p><p>are not mistakes.</p><p>They are proof</p><p>that something once whole,</p><p>brave enough</p><p>to break</p><p>and brave enough</p><p>to remain.</p><p>So I will not fear the cracks anymore.</p><p>I will let the light come in.</p>
