<p>BEHIND THE MASK.</p><p>Behind the mask is a spell too far,</p><p>A mirage of hope, and an illusion of strength</p><p>Whispering to me that I could wage against the rage,</p><p>A rictus grin I let out in grimace.</p><p></p><p>Behind the mask, I watched my hope </p><p>Drown in a frustrated ocean, I yowled.</p><p>With my hands akimbo I watched till it sank.</p><p>Not an iota of hope left in me.</p><p></p><p>Behind the mask, I fought so hard</p><p>The good fight of pain, I wrestled mad,</p><p>I fought back fears, I saw myself bold,</p><p>Strengthened too till mysteries unfold.</p><p></p><p>Behind the mask, I became courageous,</p><p>I became strong, as strong as an iron.</p><p>Not so long I discovered I was hallucinating,</p><p>I'm still at the battlefield wrestling with pain.</p><p></p><p>Behind the mask, pain ate me up,</p><p>My closet is now a night of worst mares.</p><p>I pondered till I escape like a flying air,</p><p>Into the world free from those reality.</p><p></p>
