PART 2

THE TRUST

Bimbo woke up the next morning looking exhausted and feeling more tired. She hadn't slept well for a long while.

Her mind suddenly drifted to the events that happened overnight, the presence and the whispered words.

She smiled because she knew who the Him was. She remembered how cheerful she was until that night, at exactly 11:42 p.m, before an incident happened.

How she didn't care about anything in the world.

She just loved having people around.

Until March 19th, at exactly 11:42 p.m, and that day left a disdainful feeling in her soul.

She smiled again as she remembered how she met the only curious person in her neighbourhood who deeply cared about her, or so she thought.

Ever since she told him about that night, she felt safe around him. She felt loved again.

She saw hope in living life again.

Bimbo decided to go to his room just to see him and enjoy his company.

He decided to comfort Bimbo just so she wouldn't think about it anymore, and he wanted to earn her trust.

Bimbo felt like she had found a good friend, so she thought. She expected him to make advances, but he didn't, and she was shocked. Eventually, nothing happened between them.

Bimbo retired for the night just to sleep. This night felt different. She was expecting the presence at exactly 12 a.m., but she didn't feel it.

At exactly 3:17 a.m., she heard this eerie sound and felt the presence. But this time, it was very unusual. It came angrier than the previous night. Bimbo became stiff, not because of fear, but because she knew why it was angry.

At first, the presence didn't move close to her. It just stood still, watching her because it wanted her to feel how angry it was.

Then the presence whispered the same words again.

“You told him?”

“You didn't just tell him, you even went to him for comfort. You betrayer!”

Bimbo felt confused, and she felt scared at the same time. She simply said, “I trust him. He wouldn't hurt me. I told him about the past, and he didn't judge me. He is a great friend.”

The presence laughed not a soothing laugh, but one that sounded angry and scary.

It repeated the words Bimbo said.

“You trust him?”

Bimbo remembered what happened the last time she trusted someone. What was the end result?

She couldn't fight because somehow, she had forgotten what happened the last time she felt safe, and she wanted to defend him and say he was different.

But the presence laughed at her sheer ignorance.

Bimbo said she could vouch for him, and she was going to prove that by going to his place again to show that he was a kind person.

So Bimbo thought. She never knew what the day had in store for her.

The presence left angrily, not because Bimbo didn't listen to the words, but because she told him.

She suddenly checked her phone and saw something

a date highlighted on her screen.

July 19th.

And she suddenly remembered what happened that night dated March 19th.

She started panicking because the trauma was still fresh and figured out that was the reason the presence was angry. She felt it was overreacting and didn't want her to heal.

Unknown to her, it was just a way of the presence protecting her.

She waved off the feeling and concluded that he was a good person, and she wasn't going to let him go.

To be continued...

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
