(The classroom is seen, to be the kind that has seen better days. Ceiling fan turning slow. You need to know that Durotimi has been chasing you, texting you, following you everywhere. And you are here. Comfortable. With somebody else. (holds up phone) I have the picture.

MORENIKEJI: (standing) Who sent you to me?

SARAH: I sent myself. Because somebody has to say the truth around here. Release Durotimi. Face this one you have here and stop—

MORENIKEJI: I don't know any Durotimi. This man is my fiance. My fiance of fourteen months and you walked up to my desk in front of him and said what exactly—

SARAH: Your fiance! You people should come and hear—

FIANCE: (on his feet, hands out) Let us just calm down. I have never known any Durotimi. Do not mention that name to me again, I am with my Fiance and we'd be getting married soon. I should have left it alone. (turning to Sarah) But even if nothing was ever going to happen there. You think I would turn around and come for you? After all of this? You think I would look at you, this trouble making, loose mouthed, pastor recruiting, ring buying, amebo, sharp tongue woman like you and say yes. This one. This is the one?

(The classroom erupts. I didn't know who Durotimi was until today, same as she herself, what happened took her baby surprise. We would like to return to our normal life.

LECTURER: (to Morenikeji) You.

MORENIKEJI: I never responded because I was taken and didn't want drama, plus I don't know him in person until today. I saw him once, under our school big tree but he smiled at me which I didn't return, because it was at the same time my man was standing behind him far away from me outside his car.. I wasn't aware he was the stalking guy untill today, when I recalled (pause) Clearly, the trouble I've been trying to avoid didn't work.

LECTURER: (to Durotimi) You.

DUROTIMI: I liked someone who didn't like me back. I did not ask for commitment, or a committee. I want it disbanded.

(The lecturer looks at Debbie. Debbie looks back with the face of someone who has never done anything wrong. He moves on.)

LECTURER: (to Sarah) You.

SARAH: Sir. Primary two. That is where this started. Mama dressed me in my best clothes, white socks with the frill, shiny shoes, everything. I walked into that classroom and saw him and something in me settled. I came to this school because he was here. I know which side of his cheek he bites. I know his tea order. I know his middle name and I could feel how he makes me feel, even without his idea.. Sir, I don't want to stress him at all.. so,I got a ring.. I have the ring, I bought my burgundy aso-oke along with his, Two pastors already available. One cancelled two naming ceremonies and Born of God has been fasting since Thursday. I also have, a registrar who owes me. He doesn't have to pay any money o.. Sir, can you see? But he's stubborn and adamant.. I am not a troublemaker, sir. I am a woman who knows what she wants and has made the necessary arrangements.

(Silence... the lecturer removes his glasses. Rubs his nose. Replaces them. Looks at the ceiling briefly.)

LECTURER: You are all adults. Sort it out like adults. Don't bring it into my classroom again. Go.

(They file out. Sarah pauses at the door.)

SARAH: Sir. Your invitation will be delivered personally once the date is confirmed.

(The lecturer stares at his desk. Says nothing.)

(In the corridor.... Durotimi could be seen walking ahead, headphones going back on.)

SARAH: Ten days. Twenty hours. Forty five minutes is what you have to say yes, willingly or I come for you myself.

(He stops. Turns.)

DUROTIMI: Ohhhh... I'm so afraid, she has threatened me... ohhhh.. (he said sacarstically) God forbid! (He spits) I would rather stay single. I would rather marry a crippled woman than stand at any altar with you.

SARAH: (a quiet blushing smile, could be seen on her face) God forbid that cripple... You hear me? God has forbidden it? What are you afraid of self? Mtcheww... You see eh? You will marry me, you this coward. If you like go and keep winking at women who don't even save your number. Nonsense.

(She hisses. Long. .... eyeing him away..)

(She glances at Morenikeji and her fiance down the corridor. Eyes them both.....)

(Her heels click against the tiled floor as she walks away. Sharp. Steady.)

(Debbie follows after her quietly...)
