DIARY OF A START UP BUSINESS OWNER.

Finally I did what I had to do.

Well, welcome back to my series of documenting my life as a start up business owner.

I think I remember saying I'm a crochet artist (upcoming) and God knows I have no idea how I'm gonna go about it.

On the 20th of November, I found courage to start with nothing but my wits, ideas and zero equipment at all.

Honestly, I got tired of waiting around and I got excited ( a little bit more than I should) I started with posting on my social media accounts for publicity. I think I had this idea that whenever a project comes I'll be prepared. I guess I forgot that stuffs like this need an already done piece to show that I know my groove.

Well, I wasn't let my lack of equipment stop my from getting out there. I had already told my friends and make them promise they'll patronize me so 22nd of November I got my first deal (my friend obvs), I was so excited to start so I spent my entire profit on getting makeshift equipments and extra yarn for chill businesses for myself.

I'm still shocked on how good it turned out and the fact that I had this talent hidden inside me for so long.

Although it seems like that's the only deal I've gotten in a while and publicity is a strain. My best girl would always remind me that life is a marathon, not a sprint and looking back to the last post I read (I don't think I recall the writer), she said something about doing it because of her love for it and not the money.

With this guides, I think I'll sail smoothly although there are times I can help but get overwhelmed but looking to people who support me and want to see me win, I'm instantly encouraged.

By the way I think I forgot to mention the fact that I'm juggling this with my career as a law student with a below maximum CGPA as expected of me.

Begining school, I know I started off on a rough foot and I'm trying to be optimistic but then let's face reality, I didn't boost early and it's affecting me. I know I'm gonna be great and with God on my side, my efforts cannot be in vain.

I guess this is all for today's session of Life as a Startup Business Owner. I think I should add "...And Struggling Student." just saying.

Bye guys....till next time.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
