Let me tell you. </p><p>In the 15th century, the Europeans power were in search of new trade routes. Why were they searching for new trade routes? Europe traded with Asia but in the expansion of the Ottoman empire important trade routes fell under the empire , trading became more difficult thus they had to search for new trade routes. And in this search , one of the European countries Portugal came in contact with west Africa. Searching for new trade routes is not the only reason why the Europeans were exploring.
