<p>University was beginning to feel different.</p><p><br/></p><p>After the first few days of lectures, everyone was slowly finding their place. Some students were focused on their studies, some were busy making new friends, while others had already started looking for someone special.</p><p><br/></p><p>For Daniel, school was supposed to be simple.</p><p><br/></p><p>Attend lectures. Read his books. Make good friends. Graduate with good grades.</p><p><br/></p><p>At least, that was the plan.</p><p><br/></p><p>Until he met Sarah.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sarah was not the loudest girl in the class. She rarely tried to get everyone's attention, but somehow, people noticed her. She was intelligent, respectful and always came prepared for lectures.</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel first noticed her when the lecturer asked a difficult question.</p><p><br/></p><p>Nobody answered.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then Sarah raised her hand.</p><p><br/></p><p>She stood up and explained the answer confidently.</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel looked at her and smiled.</p><p><br/></p><p>"This girl is smart."</p><p><br/></p><p>After the lecture, Daniel's friend, Mike, noticed him staring.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Guy, why are you looking at that girl like you're trying to solve an examination question?"</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel laughed.</p><p><br/></p><p>"I'm just looking."</p><p><br/></p><p>"Looking abi admiring?"</p><p><br/></p><p>"Leave me, abeg."</p><p><br/></p><p>Mike laughed.</p><p><br/></p><p>"University has started."</p><p><br/></p><p>The next day, Daniel deliberately sat closer to Sarah.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not too close.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just close enough to have a reason to talk to her.</p><p><br/></p><p>When the lecturer entered, everyone became quiet.</p><p><br/></p><p>Halfway through the lecture, Sarah dropped her pen.</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel picked it up and handed it to her.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Thank you," she said with a smile.</p><p><br/></p><p>"You're welcome."</p><p><br/></p><p>That was their first real conversation.</p><p><br/></p><p>It lasted barely five seconds.</p><p><br/></p><p>But sometimes, five seconds is enough to begin a story.</p><p><br/></p><p>After the lecture, Daniel finally gathered courage.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Excuse me, please. Can I get your number? I want to ask you something about the assignment."</p><p><br/></p><p>Sarah looked at him suspiciously.</p><p><br/></p><p>"The assignment?"</p><p><br/></p><p>"Yes."</p><p><br/></p><p>She smiled.</p><p><br/></p><p>"You don't even know if I understand it."</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel laughed.</p><p><br/></p><p>"That's why I'm asking."</p><p><br/></p><p>She gave him her number.</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel saved it immediately.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sarah ❤️</p><p><br/></p><p>He quickly changed the name.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sarah — Course Mate</p><p><br/></p><p>He didn't want Mike to see it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Unfortunately, Mike was standing behind him.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Course mate?"</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel turned.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Don't start."</p><p><br/></p><p>Mike laughed.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Bro, I understand."</p><p><br/></p><p>Daniel smiled.</p><p><br/></p><p>But neither of them knew that the innocent exchange of a phone number would eventually become something much deeper.</p><p><br/></p><p>And neither of them knew that university relationships were not always about love.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, they were about distraction.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, heartbreak.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes, growth.</p><p><br/></p><p>And sometimes, they became the reason a student either lost focus...</p><p><br/></p><p>or discovered a better version of himself.</p><p><br/></p><p>To be continued...</p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
