Even As A Flicker
<p><span style="background-color: transparent;">A fire, they all tried to quench,  </span></p><p>But she burned anyway—quietly, deeply.  </p><p>Even in flickers, she still gave light  </p><p>To those who needed it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Her strength wasn’t loud—it whispered,  </p><p>But somehow, it still saved souls.  </p><p>Her demons, they tried to surface,  </p><p>Riling the beast she tried to detain.  </p><p>But she met them eye to eye,  </p><p>And dared them to rise again.</p><p><br/></p><p>She’s quite the challenge, I might say.  </p><p>Now I know why they tried to quench her.  </p><p>Even as a flicker,  </p><p>She did what most fires couldn’t.  </p><p>She glowed brighter than most,  </p><p>Burned stronger, and couldn’t be quenched.  </p><p>They were scared she’d overshadow them,  </p><p>So they tried to control…  </p><p>But sadly, they couldn’t.</p>
