Foot for More, Food for Less: Christmas
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong><del>The</del> Reason <del>for the</del> Season: Christ</strong></p><p>Beyond the lights,<br/></p><p>Beyond the playlists on repeat,</p><p>Beyond the food coma we all pretend we planned for đź¤,</p><p>There stands a Name that does not fade with December.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Christ.<strong><br/></strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><br/></strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>“He shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”</strong></em></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>(Isaiah 9:6)</strong></em></p><p><br/></p><p>He is not just in the season.</p><p>He is the season.</p><p>The reason for all reasons.</p><p>And every reason finds its true seasoning in Him</p><p>Yes, even the reasons we cannot explain at family gatherings đź¤.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>“For by Him all things were created… and in Him all things hold together.”<br/></strong></em></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>(Colossians 1:16–17)</strong></em></p><p><br/></p><p>When joy feels fragile and challenges feel loud,<br/></p><p style="text-align: center;">He remains steady.</p><p>When excellence feels exhausting and you are tired of “doing your best,”</p><p style="text-align: center;">He reminds us that grace fuels growth.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br/></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as unto the Lord.”</em></strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>(Colossians 3:23)</em></strong></p><p><br/></p><p>Christmas is not an escape from reality.<br/></p><p>It is heaven stepping into it.</p><p>God putting on flesh and saying,</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong>“I am not afraid of your mess. I will enter it.”</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>“The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”<br/></strong></em></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong>(John 1:14)</strong></em></p><p style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><br/></strong></em></p><p>In Christ, excellence is not pressure.</p><p>It is devotion.</p><p>Not striving to impress,</p><p>But living to express the life He placed within us</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Even when the tree leans a little and the plans do not</strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong></strong>đź¤</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>“Come to Me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”<br/></em></strong></p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>(Matthew 11:28)</em></strong></p><p><br/></p><p>So enjoy the warmth.</p><p style="text-align: center;">Embrace the laughter.</p><p style="text-align: center;"><strong><em>Eat the food<del>(s).</del> Go back for seconds.
