</p><p>And now, you feel full, a fullness that is not pride,
</p><p>Humble but still just as solid.
</p><p><br></p><p>I remember when snoring was your worst.
</p><p>You’d think you won’t make it through the night,
</p><p>like your head would waltz to the croaks from the walls beside you.
</p><p>It was always a reminder of the one person who came to inflict pain.
</p><p><br></p><p>You'd feel powerless and fickle,
</p><p>Like you can never be far enough, away.
</p><p>Its years now and the feeling lurks just beyond the surface.
</p><p><br></p><p>You hear sounds, and you feel not the previous dread, but a newfound freedom,
</p><p>The freedom of safety, the freedom of distance.
</p><p>The freedom where the words no longer bite, and your skin never breaks.
</p><p>Not one atom of moisture would you need to yield out of pain because now,
</p><p>You are sure that time is past, and nothing can take you back there.
