"ITS FAITH THAT KILLS"
<p><span style="background-color: transparent;">They said it’s faith that kills </span></p><p>That men have drowned in their beliefs,</p><p>That Hay and Harry have worn religion’s name like perfume.</p><p>But I know faith different.</p><p>I know the faith t<span style="background-color: transparent;">hat has made me know an unknown tomorrow even while I was blind.</span></p><p>Mine doesn’t choke, it comforts</p><p>Mine isn't blurry, it blesses </p><p>Mine doesn’t cage, it comes through.</p><p><br/></p><p>Isn't it this faith that makes me move my lazy skin off the bed every morning?</p><p>Feeds my hungered heart with an heavenly health.</p><p>And when I walk around with uncertainty flowing around me like water in-between stones.</p><p>It reminds be that my wisdom is fuller than the oceans and I can navigate life.</p><p><br/></p><p>They talk of faith that follows fame and doctrines.</p><p>Faith that kneels to men, not to God.</p><p>Faith that fears questions,</p><p>Faith that silences reasons,</p><p>That kind of faith is a coffin carved from ignorance.</p><p><br/></p><p>But the faith I hold… oh, it’s living water.</p><p>It walks me through fire and I don’t burn.</p><p>This one responds to me on the days I feel tightened my the wicked hammartan of life.</p><p>It speaks light into my night.</p><p>It doesn’t kill, it revives when I stray.</p><p>It’s doesn't lock, it is a key.</p><p>Not religion, but relationship.</p><p><br/></p><p>So no, it’s not faith that kills.</p><p>It’s the absence of truth beneath it.</p><p>It’s believing in voices, not in the Voice.</p><p>When faith meets the Word,</p><p>Dead hearts rise, and dead dreams come to fulfilment.</p><p>I know a different faith🌸!</p>
