WAS IT EVER REAL??
<p>No one talks about that friendship that makes you feel alive.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one where you both go to Mallam Sani's shop along the street to get your favourite snack, and you eat it along the way because the gist was so occupying that you didn’t even realize when you finished it.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one where you both send each other reels, screenshots of what that boy/girl just told you, because you can't keep it to yourself. The next time you meet, you don’t want to have to start explaining from the beginning.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one where you tag each other on every post even on WhatsApp.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one where you both share ideals and plans.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one whose opinion matters in every single thing you do.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one where you both promised each other not to get to uni and forget yourselves.</p><p><br/></p><p>The one where you randomly sit at home without that one person, and thoughts begin to flow:</p><p>“How would I have lived without her/him?”</p><p>“I bless the day I met you.”</p><p><br/></p><p>You just imagine how many beautiful memories you’d make together in life.</p><p><br/></p><p>But one gets to school before the other.</p><p><br/></p><p>And suddenly, one day, the vibes begin to go low.</p><p><br/></p><p>Ouch. It hurts real bad.</p><p><br/></p><p>It’s been one week, and two, and three, and four… and you both aren’t in contact anymore. Slowly, everything begins to die down. And finally, you become strangers again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Everything seems different, and you can’t bring yourself to understand how everything changed so fast.</p><p><br/></p><p>But you never ended on a bad note.</p><p><br/></p><p>The urge just isn’t there to text each other again.</p><p><br/></p><p>How do we go from being all attached to being nonchalant?</p><p><br/></p><p>What do we even call such friendships? </p><p>💔</p>
