<p>That month,</p><p>my tears escaped me...ran down my face like they had somewhere urgent to be.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I learned to mind my business.</p><p>Because peace?</p><p>Peace is expensive,</p><p>and drama don’t pay rent.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I lost friends...</p><p>'Cause I stopped making decisions off emotion.</p><p>I paused.</p><p>I breathed.</p><p>I said no,</p><p>and some people took that personal.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I understood what it means</p><p>to have goals,</p><p>and what it means to set patterns that align with them.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I figured out</p><p>what true friendship actually stands for—and who was just standing there,</p><p>not standing with me.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I almost lost my mind...</p><p>but outside?</p><p>I wore the brightest smile.</p><p>Like insanity could be styled into fashion.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I flirted with extroversion...</p><p>then crawled back</p><p>to my little introvert cave...whispering, “Try again later.”</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I tried to understand people from their perspective.</p><p>But in the end?</p><p>I found silence</p><p>speaks louder</p><p>than misread intentions.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month the "you're turning 20 soon" pressure</p><p>pressed down on my chest</p><p>like adulthood was a deadline</p><p>and I was late.</p><p><br/></p><p>The month I lost touch with Abba... 😢</p><p>but Abba...</p><p>Abba found me again. 🙇🏽♀️</p><p><br/></p><p>Did I get clarity?</p><p>No.</p><p>But will I?</p><p>Definitely.</p><p><br/></p><p>Did I smile?</p><p>Yes.</p><p>Blessing isn’t optional</p><p>when souls are tied to your smile.</p><p><br/></p><p>Did I add up?</p><p>Not yet.</p><p>Maybe my body just likes this slim version. 😂</p><p>Still me... slim, tall, chocolate-skinned,</p><p>with a sharper mindset than last month.</p><p><br/></p><p>October?</p><p>We’re giving:</p><p>alignment.</p><p>Word.</p><p>Prayer.</p><p>The secret place–a do or die thing,</p><p>because that’s where my future self waits.</p><p><br/></p><p>I’m learning to forgive fast,</p><p>drop burdens before they grow.</p><p><br/></p><p>I’m not sharing for validation...but so someone knows:</p><p><br/></p><p>All you need is God,</p><p>a small circle,</p><p>a forgiving heart,</p><p>and the courage to leave the past behind.</p><p><br/></p><p>Focus on now—because that’s where tomorrow starts.</p><p><br/></p><p>If this landed on you,</p><p>maybe it was meant to.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><a class="tc-blue external-link" href="https://twocents.space/insights/tag/keeyra" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#keeyra</a> writes✍🏽</p><p><br/></p>
