LIFE AT TWENTIES: PRESSURE AND CINFUSION

There’s a kind of confusion that only shows up in your twenties.

It’s not loud. It doesn’t always look like chaos.

Sometimes, it looks like scrolling through your phone at midnight

watching other people live the life you thought you would have by now.

A friend just got a new job.

Another one is engaged.

Someone else just traveled out of the country.

And you?

You’re sitting there, wondering if you’re doing something wrong.

Nobody tells you that your twenties come with silent pressure.

Pressure to succeed.

Pressure to “make it.”

Pressure to have something to show for your life.

It’s everywhere.

In conversations:

> “So what are you doing now?”

On social media:

Perfect lives. Perfect moments. Perfect timelines.

Even in your own thoughts:

> “I should be further than this.”

And the truth?

That pressure can mess with your head.

It makes you question your pace.

It makes you doubt your journey.

It makes you feel like time is running out… even when it’s not.

At some point, you start comparing your life without even realizing it.

You measure your progress using other people’s timelines.

You start feeling behind in a race you never signed up for.

And slowly what used to be excitement about your future turns into anxiety.

You begin to overthink everything.

Every decision feels like it could either make your life or ruin it.

“What if I choose the wrong career?”

“What if I fail?”

“What if I never figure it out?”

So you hesitate.

You delay.

You stay stuck not because you don’t want to move forward,

but because you’re scared of moving in the wrong direction.

Here’s the part nobody likes to admit:

Most people in their twenties are just guessing.

They don’t have it all figured out.

They’re trying things.

Failing.

Learning.

Adjusting.

But from the outside, it looks like they have a perfect plan.

And that’s where the illusion begins.

You compare your reality to someone else’s highlight reel.

You judge your beginning using someone else’s middle.

That’s not just unfair…

It’s dangerous. Because the more you compare,

the more you lose sight of your own path.

You start chasing things that were never meant for you.

You start making decisions based on pressure… not purpose.

Let’s pause for a second.

Take a breath.

Here’s something you need to hear, even if nobody has said it to you:

You are not behind.

You are not late.

You are not failing at life.

You are learning.

Your twenties are not designed to be perfect.

They are designed to teach you.

Teach you what works

Teach you what doesn’t

Teach you who you are

Teach you what truly matters

Confusion is not a sign that you’re lost.

It’s a sign that you’re growing.

Pressure is not always your enemy.

Sometimes, it’s a signal that you care and that you want more for your life but you have to learn how to manage it.

Not everything you see is real.

Not every timeline is yours.

Not every expectation deserves your attention.

Instead of asking:

> “Why am I behind?”

Start asking:

> “What am I learning right now?”

Because that’s what truly matters.

At the end of the day,

your life is not a competition.

It’s a process.

And processes take time.

So if you feel confused right now…

if you feel pressured…

if you feel like you don’t have it all together…

You’re not broken.

You’re just in your twenties.

VICTORIA OLUWADAMILOLA🖋️🫡

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via

The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
