<p>MY KINTSUGI HEART</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Trigger warning: themes of abuse to women.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>I stared at my picture frame, the one that held my original name.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Happy”, “whole”, “pure”.</p><p><br/></p><p>Like a debt I owed, I had to refund.</p><p><br/></p><p>I glanced at the broken vase, a weak smile escaped my lips.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's been two months since the war started.</p><p><br/></p><p>Two months of solitude.</p><p><br/></p><p>My body craves anger, malice— I crave it more.</p><p><br/></p><p>The bruises on my skin have become permanent.</p><p><br/></p><p>Like scars I couldn't erase.</p><p><br/></p><p>I couldn't scrub off his hands.</p><p><br/></p><p>His voice echoed in my ear.</p><p><br/></p><p>Assuring me I was “going nowhere.”</p><p><br/></p><p>He was wrong.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dear hands that tremble, it's okay.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dear eyes that weep, it's okay.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dear voice lost, come home, it's okay.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dear mug, my broken partner, I'm sorry.</p><p><br/></p><p>Dear broken vase; me, it's okay.</p><p><br/></p><p>We will fight this battle together.</p><p><br/></p><p>I will speak!
