Come closer, let me tell you something. 😂

So, I stepped out to buy something in my area. When I got to the shop, there were quite a number of people waiting to be attended to, so I had to sit down on one of the chairs.

As I sat there scrolling through my phone, a man walked in and sat on another chair close by. Apparently, his friend was among the people standing and waiting for their turn.

While the man sat there pressing his phone, he stumbled on some popular news and immediately started talking. He was going on and on about how the accident wasn’t salvaged on time, comparing it to the UK- where, according to him, it would have been handled before it escalated.

Where am I going with this story?

Wait first.

After spending a hot minute complaining about doctors, nurses, and hospitals in the country, he finally dropped this one: Nigeria doesn’t have enough AMBALANCE.

You know that reflex reaction you give when you hear something shocking? That sharp look. Gbam! 😳

That was exactly what happened when I heard him say it.

AMBALANCE?

As how na? 😂

What shocked me even more was that he didn’t say it once. He kept saying it throughout the entire conversation with his friend, with full confidence.

I didn’t even know when I started muttering ambulance under my breath, trying to help him. Maybe he didn’t hear me, but I honestly tried to reach out. 🥲

AMBALANCE is not a word in the dictionary. 🙏

Please don’t join him to say the wrong thing.

And the confidence he had while saying it? Boldly! 😂

O ga o!

Please, the correct word is AMBULANCE, not AMBALANCE.

Let us rest. 😭 Let my eye colour be white in peace. 🥲

Happy New Year! 🎆🎆

#HappyNewYear #happynewyear2026 #ambulance

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
